The first decision
Resolve the room-versus-garage-versus-patio choice before choosing a cabin.
Make three different space plans
For an indoor room, measure the door opening, circulation space, ceiling and the maintenance clearance in the manual. For a garage, ask the manufacturer about permitted ambient conditions and moisture exposure. For a patio, request the outdoor-use requirements. Do not treat these three placements as interchangeable simply because they belong to the same home.
Orlando mailing address is a starting point
Check which authority handles your exact property rather than choosing an office from the postal city alone. The City of Orlando publishes a permit guide and application routes. Take the product manual, a site sketch and proposed electrical scope to the appropriate department or licensed installer. The linked guide does not establish whether your particular equipment needs a permit.
Ask about planned versus actual household use
Before buying for a vacation home or shared property, confirm that its warranty and installation requirements fit the intended use. Ask who will inspect water quality, replace supplies and handle problems between visits. A residential label is not a guarantee of coverage for every rental arrangement. Obtain property-owner or association permission where applicable.
The Orlando quote packet
Send each provider the same delivery route measurements, proposed location, exact model and electrical manual. Separate a simple delivery quote from placement and assembly. Ask whether the route crosses grass, narrow side gates or steps. Compare complete scope rather than assuming a low delivery price includes setup.
Questions to settle before ordering
- Will the manufacturer approve the proposed garage or patio location in writing?
- Does the delivery quote include movement from the truck to the final position?
- What permissions apply to this property and intended use?
